snapshot look at the tree with ornaments!

After almost three weeks of enjoying the tree with the lovely lights,.....
we finally had the time and energy to get the ornaments hung! I guess I was so excited to take a photo when it was done, that I only snapped the top half of the tree! I may have been a bit delirious from spending time in line at the post office today,... surrounded by the rest of humanity!
*** oh in case you thought I really lost my mind and set the tree up in front of the front door.... this is a side door we don't use in the winter! ***

Sinterklaas is coming

Sinterklaas visits this weekend! So, remember to put your wooden shoes out near the fireplace with a carrot for Sinterklaas' horse!

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas...

I am so early in getting in the Christmas mood this year! I have alot of decorations up, the Christmas mugs and plates out, and the tree up and lit. Didn't have time to decorate the tree yet, so that will have to wait! Love the lights! Have yet to start on a card idea,..... hope all of my decorating gets me inspired for that!

Getting in the mood for Christmas

What a wonderful and relaxing Thanksgiving weekend! We enjoyed time with friends, but sorely missed not being with family. I am tickled pink that we got our tree set up early this year, and went to work this morning putting it to use for some fabulous bokeh! Oh,... and I pretended that it was snowing just to put me in the mood while I was listening to 'White Christmas' and other old Christmas faves. Did you know that on Pandora Radio, that you can set up your own channel with 'seed' songs and artists,... so I set up a Christmas channel with seeds such as "Burl Ives - Holiday", "Danny Kaye - Holiday", "Bing Crosby - Holiday", "Ella Fitzgerald - Holiday",... well you certainly get the idea of what I am listening to when I am not dancing around to Bob Dylan's Santa song!
